Its all coming back to us now!

Its been a while since we wrote, but we have lots to tell you!

Even though lockdown had long reaching implications for the wedding industry, we are now finally beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel.

Despite the repercussions of postponed weddings meaning a crazy 2022, our fabulous members have coped admirably with their workload to ensure everyone got what they wanted at their weddings.

So in a nod to that, we would like to say a huge well done to all our members for what they did, what they sacrificed to step up to the challenge.

We have had a few changes here, as have some of the fabulous venues that are associated with The Wedding Guild of Wales.

Firstly, although it took almost a year, we have a new logo. It took a lot of discussion and debate, but we think it looks great when teamed up with some fabulous images!

We have also waved off and wished well a few members that have retired or changed direction:

We would like to thank the team at Bridal Box for their massive support over the years and wish them all the best for the future. They currently have a huge closing down sale on, and have ensured all booked brides are being looked after.

Then we have Paul from Happy Occasion Cakes who is relocating to Spain. Lucky him! Again a great support to us over the years which we are thankful for, and all his current orders are being fulfilled before his move.

Ceridwen Wedding design have been fabulous members over the years, and these have decided to change direction into teaching. With the skills they have, they will be of huge benefit to their students and we wish them every success.

And last but not least, Liz of Totally Co-ordinated has tied her last bow. Another fantastic supporter of the Guild and a very popular supplier. Her retirement seems to be going well (we are not a bit jealous of her travel snaps) and again, all her bookings were fulfilled or transferred, she went out in the style she traded - with integrity!

Good luck and love from us all here, you've been a credit to The Wedding Guild of Wales and the couples you served.

We have also had some new members join us over the last few months. Centre Stage Cakes, The Cake Cwtch, Shelley Daniel Photography, Katie Radford Photography, Make Up Locker, High Society Bridal, American Car Weddings, Bars of Distinction. Welcome all to our lovely Guild family!

As we write this with one hand, we are putting the final touches together for our 9th annual wedding fayre at Hensol Castle with the other!

This was the very first venue that contacted us to show off their stunning venue!

You may know we have just a small group of venues where we co-host our fayres. Each one having approached us because of the lengths we go to, to ensure our suppliers meet their own high standards. We feel it an honour to be asked back year after year, and next year is already getting planned in.

We received an offer from a wedding fayre organiser to purchase their business last year, but declined as we are more than content with the way we work and who we work with. We also had a call from a lovely lady who has just taken over from another wedding fayre organiser to introduce herself. What a great thing to do and we wish her all the best!

Our fayres, although predominantly for members of the Guild also have special guest exhibitors too. Our guests bring variety and added choice to our fayres, and if you are a supplier that either wants to join the Guild, or exhibit with us, please get in touch via our contact page.

Our wonderful associate venues have also added a few things to enhance their services too!

We have seen an outdoor ceremony area added to Hensol Castle, they have also opened an area for regular afternoon tea goers! Both beautiful!

Llechwen Hall has had a revamp of their restaurant with some trendy plush new furnishings, a gorgeous new fireplace, and revamped the lounge area. Its all looking fabulous!

Canada Lodge has just erected an outside ceremony space to give couples the option of outside weddings. The structure can be covered at the roof and looks incredible at night!

Bryn Meadows have just told us of their plans to re-drape the Fairways Suite amongst other things, and we are looking forward to seeing what they do here.

And De Courceys have just had their first outdoor ceremony - just happened to be our lovely Jodie (Minxies) christening it. Its called the Secret Garden and looks set to wow couples wanting to get married outside, gorgeous!

I think that's us all caught up for now - just look out for our Autumn 2023 wedding fayre dates and info! In the meantime - look out for suppliers with the badge 🙂
