10 Years on!

In 2013 a handful of suppliers got together and founded The Wedding Guild of Wales. A group of likeminded people who wanted to contribute positively to the wedding planning experience for couples. From this meeting My Wonderful Welsh Wedding was created.

As we celebrate 10 years of The Wedding Guild of Wales & My Wonderful Welsh Wedding this year, we also celebrate the wonderful suppliers we have met over this time.

We are proud to be associated with nearly 100 local wedding businesses, all offering superb customer service and amazing products, supplying everything you could possibly need for your wedding.

Joining The wedding Guild of Wales is a must to be recommended on My Wonderful Welsh Wedding.

Our "vetting " process means we only recommend suppliers to you that are reputable and trustworthy and have been in business for at least 3 years. They must also work well with other suppliers.

We we don't charge a joining fee or subscription to our members, no commission or money for adding them to our Guild, and listing them on our website, My Wonderful Welsh Wedding. Along with our criteria for joining, this makes us totally unique.

We don't advertise, we recommend!

There are lots of wedding directories and blogs out there that offer free "basic" listings then as a supplier would need to pay for additional features. There are also no checks done, you just pay to advertise. That's fine, it's just not us.

Here, once a supplier has met our strict criteria, they become members of the Guild and are listed on our website the same as everyone else.

From day one, we have presented My Wonderful Welsh Wedding & The Wedding Guild of Wales as "a safe place to plan and shop" for your wedding.

The founding members of the Guild cover all costs of running the Guild and My Wonderful Welsh Wedding website, pages and group.

We do it because we are passionate about customer service and are committed to helping couples plan their wedding, safe in the knowledge that there are choosing time served, reliable local businesses. That's it!

Over the years, we have been challenged by a minority of suppliers, for not accepting businesses that couldn't meet our criteria. But we have stuck to our guns and remained true to one of a few original ideas we had when creating the Guild and My Wonderful Welsh Wedding back in 2013.

We wanted My Wonderful Welsh Wedding to reflect only quality and suppliers that work well together, therefore giving you a safe place to plan and search for your wedding suppliers.

Wedding fayres

Due to demand from top local wedding venues, we progressed into organising wedding fayres - My Wonderful Welsh Wedding Fayres. Who wouldn't want to show off such fabulous people?

Wedding fayres cost a significant amount of money to facilitate, and that has to be paid for, but we are very competitively priced and work hard to ensure our exhibitors have a decent return on their investment.

We often have guest exhibitors (non Guild members) join us on some fayres, but these are checked out too; they are either known to us or recommend by fellow members, and have been in the wedding business for at least 2 years.

All this is needed to put on a great wedding fayre for our visiting couples and the venues that trust us to work with them.

We only host 9 fayres a year, but we are here for you 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Even throughout the pandemic, we were here for you.

We hosted several fabulous online fayres when the real thing was banned, constantly trying to keep the enthusiasm and spark in your wedding planning, and the motivation in our own businesses. Our suppliers benefited from these at a time where income was sparse - a very scary time to be a wedding supplier or venue as well as being a very uncertain, confusing and upsetting time for couples.

You visited our on-line fayres in your hundreds!

The feedback we received from couples was amazing.

And now we're back to normal, we look forward to Sept 13th at De Courceys Manor which kicks off our Autumn 2023 fayres and then we head to our other favourites at Vale Resort, Hensol Castle, Llechwen Hall & Bryn Meadows.

Check us out!

Our Members are listed on My Wonderful Welsh Wedding website and have links to their website, emails and socials.

Their listing will tell you all the services they offer, making it easy for you to plan your dream wedding.

There are 100s of superb wedding suppliers in Wales, we just happen to have nearly 100 of them here with us.

And if any of our suppliers are not available for your day, they will endeavour to recommend another to you.

Between us all, we know 100s of fellow suppliers we are happy to recommend.

And here, we welcome everyone! Engaged Couples are made up of 2 people that love each other regardless of race or gender. Love is Love here, its not all about The Bride or The Groom, just 2 people in LOVE!
