Sarah & Shaun entered our amazing prize draw and won over £7000 worth of services provided by our members. Their wedding took place at St Peters Church Cardiff, followed by celebrations at St Davids Hotel & Spa.

I have to say that had it not been for the prize provided by the Guild, our wedding would have been a totally different one altogether. We were absolutely blown away when we saw the list of suppliers and all the prizes that they had donated towards the wedding. The whole team right from the start were exceptional, providing us with so much help and information it made planning the wedding a whole lot easier. Every supplier we met or spoke with went above and beyond in terms of their contribution to our wedding.

One of the biggest bonuses with working with the Guild was knowing that each supplier was a trusted and bone-fide supplier that had been approved and recommended. Because of this we had 100% confidence in the team and we knew that whatever happened, they would not let us down. This was such a great piece of mind to have, especially when we kept hearing horror stories about wedding companies that would vanish into thin air. There were so many prizes donated by suppliers as part of the Guild that it was impossible to use them all. We can only say thank you to the team for their amazing effort and overwhelming contribution towards our day. We had the most wonderful day, one we will never forget; and we owe a lot of that success to the Guild".

We chose to have our ceremony at St Peters RC Church, in Roath. It is the oldest church in Cardiff and is somewhere that both Shaun and I have connections to.

The groom headed down to the church with his best man and one groomsman in a navy blue mark 2 jaguar, supplied by Perfect Day Cars. The jag was absolutely beautiful and I don’t think the guys have ever felt so cool.
A Daimler DS420, supplied by Prices Wedding Cars collected my dad and I from the hotel. The car was stunning and it was great to spend that one on one time with my dad. Our driver was simply fantastic and an absolute credit to the company. Both of these vehicles, provided as part of the prize from the wedding guild were so appreciated and we received numerous compliments from our guests regarding these.

We also hired a vintage bus from Perfect Day Cars which was the best decision ever. The bus arrived at the Hotel around lunchtime to collect the bridal party and close family members which were dropped at the church and then returned back to the hotel following the ceremony. Nev was amazing and was responsible for the party atmosphere that all my guests enjoyed whilst travelling.

We knew that we had wanted the guys to look exceptionally smart for the wedding, so we decided to go with Tuxedos. We could not have been happier to find that part of the prize involved suit hire from Dyfed Menswear. We were blown away with their service and we cannot thank them enough for their contribution to our wedding. In the end, we rented 17 tuxedos in total!

A harpist was included as part of the wedding guild prize which we definitely wanted to use. We met Glenda Clwyd at a wedding fair and were delighted with her professionalism and extraordinary talent. Glenda played the harp for the bridal Procession which was Pachelbel Canon in D and played during the signing of the register and for our exit. We have received so many compliments regarding her performance and I know personally that many of our guests were moved to tears. We also chose a Awen Due to play at our drinks reception and through the wedding breakfast who were brilliant. In the evening we were entertained by a live band; Bring the Noise! who kept our guests dancing until the small hours. They were beyond incredible.

We held our wedding reception at the stunning St Davids Hotel & Spa in Cardiff Bay. The venue is modern and elegant and blew us away from the start. The attention to detail and level of service from the staff there is second to none and I was so confident in their ability to host our wedding. Our guests were wowed from the start and to this day I am still receiving compliments about the food. Everybody we met there worked tirelessly and efficiently to ensure that the day went perfectly without any hiccups and we could not be more thankful.

I Love Lily Flowers were responsible for providing the beautiful flowers at our wedding. The corsages and bouquets we received on the morning of the wedding were delightful and lasted all day. I love Lily Flowers also worked closely with Emma Hall Designs to provide the beautiful centrepieces for our reception. We went for a mix of high & low centrepieces to give the room more interest and depth, and we could not have been happier with the outcome.

Totally coordinated provided us with wonderful favours for our guests; little blush coloured laser cut boxes containing chocolates. In addition, they also created us a stunning table plan designed on a family mirror. We had 146 guests in total during the day which definitely provided a challenge for the table plan and favours, but nothing was too much trouble for Totally Coordinated.

When I first came across Kate Adams photography, I was blown away by her portfolio. Her attention to detail and fine art style grabbed me from the get go and I knew we just had to book her. Her husband was also due to photograph our wedding but unfortunately was very ill at the time. Hazel Thomas stepped in to take his place and was absolutely faultless. Both photographers worked tirelessly together to create a seamless set of photographs that we know we will cherish forever.
We first came across Razzlecam Videography when we were aware that we had won the prize with the Guild. We met with Martin and we were instantly impressed with his passion for his work. Martin was fantastic on the day and kept us laughing and smiling. We are so excited to see the outcome later this year.

A beautiful treat table was provided for us by Wish Upon a Cupcake which our guests absolutely loved. Carly created a beautiful table full of cupcakes, cookies and cake pops and not one item was left by the end of the night. Our wedding cake was made by DeVoli cakes, who impressed us not only with their amazing baking but with their industry knowledge and professionalism. We had four separate tiers consisting of Jam & Buttercream, Lemon, Salted Caramel and Chocolate.

We had so many other little extras from the Guild which really added to the overall success of the wedding. Fruity Bouquets had provided us with a beautiful strawberry tower which was served during our drinks reception. We heard that it was wonderful but got nowhere near it as our guests just could not get enough. We were also fortunate enough to be provided with a platter of gourmet welshcakes from Megans Welshcakes which were beyond delicious.

After our ceremony we did a dove release at the hotel, a prize which was provided by Lovey Dovey. The doves were incredible and even though I wasn’t exactly brave enough to hold one myself, it was a fantastic experience.

In the evening our guests were wowed by the incredible Baileys fountain provided to us by Funky Fountains. We also hired two chocolate fountains from them which we know was a massive success!
